If you are reading this you are most likely looking for a church home. We would love to introduce you to UHBC with a few FAQs that help describe the experience here.
- what is the worship and music style?
- what is the preaching style?
- what kind of youth / children’s programs there are?
- where should I start?
Worship Time:
At UHBC, our desire is a service that is God honoring. We believe that the worship service is to be focused on the One being worshiped not the worshipper. As our focus is drawn toward God all the cares of self and life will drift into the background and we are able to personally meet with our God in true worship. We believe our conservative and traditional style allows you to focus on the message of a song and reach out with your heart, mind and voice to God.
Preaching:
When it comes to the preaching, our pastor follows this simple model from Ephesians:
Ephesians 4
14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ
"...speaking the truth in love...". So simple and yet so powerful. What this means is that any given Sunday you will likely be uplifted and edified through sound doctrinal preaching and teaching. You will also be challenged to take a hard look into the mirror of God's Word and see where you might grow. Our desire should always be to remain sensitive to the Holy Spirit and in tune with the Word of God.

Youth & Children Philosophy
The youth of the church are the future of the church. This is one of the reasons UHBC works to train Christ-like families. Our programs are designed to deeply engage all, including our youngest members, and train them to enter the world with a strong understanding of their faith.
We want our youth to understand that they are a part of a group. Fellowship is strongly encouraged and there are regular activities to foster connections. We generally discourage our youth in engaging in electronic activities while in their classes. While having the Bible app on a phone is ok, social media updates should wait.

Where should I start
We have a fellowship time with coffee and donuts every Sunday Morning from 9:15 a.m. - 9:45 a.m. over in the Fellowship Hall. This would be a great place to meet others and share a little fellowship as you get introduced to our UHBC Family. If you can't make it to the Sunday Morning Fellowship then just come on in to the Main Sanctuary where one of our Ushers will greet you and guide you to where you need to go. We hope to see you soon.
